Banbury Connections recently took delivery of a Stanier Mogul following an advantageous sale at Model Railways Direct and positive reviews in the Railway Modeller. This powerful mixed traffic locomotive has been designated to the Great Central division of BC.

Following a recent visit to the Brighton Toy Museum, Banbury Connections has acquired a kit built ex-GWR Giant Van and an ex-SR Maunsell open second. These vehicles have been extensively tested on the Bungleweed National Railway under the supervision of the GM for International Benchmarking who has approved them for main line running. Both vehicles are now en route to Australia via our Berkshire distribution centre (relatives house)!
The new S15 locomotive 30830 arrived today for its initial steam up which took place at Shrewsbury!!! . Its looking good. Earlier , the other new locomotive in the depot , a pristine Class 37 Diesel, purred quietly past on its initial run to London Marylebone. The driver reported it to be a delight to drive at slow and express pace.
Meanwhile at Nottingham the phones have been out , but the postal service/phone van has been seen outside the station. The 1st of July 2017 will mark the introduction of Australian GST for major overseas vendors. Given the threat of this on motive power imported from the UK and recent advantageous prices, Banbury Connections Capital and Financial Services Division has recommended that BRED increase capital expenditure before June 30. In addition to the new A3 and V2 for the Great Central, an S15 has been ordered from Camborne Shed (Kernow Model Centre) for Southern freight services. This will relieve the Class 24, currently rostered to this service, for other duties on the network. Furthermore, a Patriot has been acquired from Kernow to strengthen the London Midland locomotive fleet at Snow Hill whilst a new Class 42 Warship has been ordered from Liverpool Shed (Hattons) to replace an ageing Lima model. This follows BRED's satisfaction with the pickup arrangement on Hornby's new Railroad Warships with three non traction tyre pickups on each side.
A new A3 'Minoru' and V2 have joined Banbury Connections to replace an ageing A4 'Guillemot' and the famous A3 'Flying Scotsman'. This should lead to considerable improvement in the performance of the South Yorkshireman.
The freight modernisation program progresses with the arrival of a second Bachmann 9F. This follows the success of Evening Star's arrival to Banbury Connections.
