The video below shows the recent extension which has been landscaped to represent the Welsh Borders. The video features Shrewsbury, Wrexham General and Welshpool stations with a variety of rolling stock including the Cambrian Coast Express. A typical scene of multiple Westerns at Marylebone was observed this evening with an example of a Lima, Heljan and Dapol model.
At long last the main sections of scenery have been completed and put into place. This breakthrough means the railway is nearly fully complete with only a few minor scenic features and buildings remaining. These include the road bridge which will link Chester to Wrexham, however the railway is concerned that the completion of the bridge may make the road faster than the railway!
At long last, the central section of scenery is going into the Birkenhead Extension. There's hills aplenty on the Welsh Marches and what looks like the remains of a hill fort!
Along the way there is foam, plaster, paint and flock aplenty. Welshpool Station is getting close to completion with the addition of several new buildings.
