Due to traffic density on the Great Central sector of Banbury Connections, work has commenced to construct a fourth platform through Nottingham Victoria station.
Leicester loco is nearly complete with the installation of the turntable, engine shed and water tower. Its completion should impose additional work, chaos and inefficiency to Leicester control! 2012 modellers also fear that railway management may wish to switch back to 1962 mode following Leicester locos completion.
Banbury Connections had a large visitor on Wednesday with the arrival of a Gauge 1 Southern Region West Country. Banbury Connections' own 222 Squadron looks rather small in the foreground! A Clan class locomotive and rake of porthole Stanier coaches also made a guest appearance. Furthermore, a milk train was spotted at Gosport, an unusual sight for the seaside town.
Wolverhampton Low-Level has recently received a major station upgrade which is far more resemblant of the prototype. An original Dinky Toy bus can be seen to represent the railways bygone days.
