The Birkenhead Woodside warehouse has been finally completed following about a month's work. The warehouse, which is approximately 3 feet long and 6 inches wide making it one of the largest buildings on the model railway, captures the epitome of rail freight traffic in Britain. Already parcels have begun to pile up outside as the railway takes advantage of the new facility.
The London Midland Scottish and Great Western Joint Railways have nearly completed the main warehouse complex at Birkenhead Woodside station following construction over the last month. The roof is the last part of this warehouse which boasts just under 200 individually crafted windows, lintels and sills.
