Recent introduction of a draft working timetable to Banbury Connections, predictably, placed pressure on the Banbury, Birmingham Snow Hill and Bristol control areas. Due to operating isle constraints, the busy Banbury operator was required to simultaneously operate Bristol Midland. Recent modifications to the location of Bristol Midland control panel allows the less loaded Snow Hill operator to make the Bristol moves leaving the Banbury operator more breathing space to manage the busiest sector of the railway. This increases capacity through the Banbury control sector of the Railway which should result in improved operating efficiency.
